Adventure of the American Mind

Hello, and welcome to my web site. I have been a University Lecturer at Governors State University since 1996, beginning as an adjunct in the English department and starting full time in 2000. I have had the pleasure of teaching the Survey of American Literature II course nearly every trimester over the past four years; I created this site to enhance that course. I also teach ENGL 520 - Major American Authors; ENGL 321 - Survey of American Literature I; ENGL 400 - Advanced Composition; as well as a number of other courses on a rotating schedule. Currently, it is Tennessee Williams and Edward Albee who are holding our attention in the Major American Authors course. In addition to literature, I have an interest in documentary filmmaking and screenwriting. I am working on obtaining a terminal degree in Independent Digital Film.
