Adventure of the American Mind

After working years "in field" a variety of clinical and educational settings, I came to Governors State University in 1984 and was awarded tenure in 1988. I currently serve as Professor and Coordinator of Special Education. I teach a curriculum related to special education and technology.

I designed my first curriculum for teaching technology to special education teachers in 1984 and have evolved that curriculum as technology has improved.

My research interests include constructivism, cognition, teaching methodologies, technology, elearning and most anything related to special education, etc…..

Personal Interests

I have interests in genealogy and maintain several genealogy WebSites. Some of the sites are free and some are passworded... Visit me at maribeth.com and follow my genealogy links.

I also appreciate music and used my musical scholarships to finance my undergrad years... I also enjoy technology, the out of doors, nature and most things Scottish...
