In a small suitcase, have several kinds of toys that are used for travel. For example, car, truck, plane, boat. Play "20 Questions". Questions to be asked can only be answered with YES or NO. After it has been determined what is in the suitcase, discuss what the toys have in common. Introduce the word transportation.

 

Begin by asking children what transportation means to them and what they already know.
