Visual Literacy Activity 5:

How can I purposefully use visual literacy in the classroom?

1. Brainstorm with your group a list of ways visual literacy skills will prepare our students to be ready for the 21st Century. Use the program Inspiration as you brainstorm. Remember to use the rapidfire icon.

2. Brainstorm practical ways you could include visual literacy in math, science, social studies, reading, writing, and other areas. Think about particular units you actually teach. What visual literacy ideas could you include to make the content more understandable, more meaningful, and more memorable.
